I work out of a small space at C-101 in Sahakara Nagar, right on the 4th Cross. Sahakara Nagar is a nice, relatively quiet part of the city compared to some of the more hectic areas. The 4th Cross is mostly residential, so it feels very peaceful when I’m sitting at my desk. I’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time, and I like the slow pace of the streets around here. My office is basically just one room where I keep all my books, papers, and my computer. It’s a private setup, not something designed for a big crowd. I usually start my day with a cup of tea and then get straight into whatever work is waiting for me. Since it’s a home-style office, I don't have to deal with a long commute or city traffic, which is a real blessing. People who come to see me usually know the neighborhood well. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but the trees make it a pleasant stroll. I don’t have any staff or a big sign outside. It’s just me, V Deshikachar, handling my daily business in a quiet corner of Bangalore. Sometimes the neighborhood kids are playing outside or a neighbor stops to chat, which breaks up the day. It’s a simple, honest way to work, and I’ve never felt the need for anything more complicated than this small spot on 4th Cross. The evenings are the best time here when the air cools down.
