Utsav Vegetarian

Koramangala is a big, busy place but we’ve tucked ourselves in here for a while now. Utsav Vegetarian is exactly what it says on the sign outside. We don’t serve any meat at all. It’s a simple setup with tables and chairs that get the job done. Most days it’s just a big rush during the lunch hour and then things settle down for a bit in the afternoon. I’m usually checking the big bags of rice or making sure the tables are wiped down properly before the next person sits. We go through a massive amount of water every day. The kitchen gets really hot in the middle of the day when all the burners are going. We have a few regulars who have been coming since the day we opened our doors. They always sit in the same spots and order the same things. It’s funny how people have their routines. The traffic outside is constant and you can hear the horns all day long. We don’t have any fancy decorations or art on the walls. Just some plain paint and sturdy chairs. It’s about the food, really. Simple vegetarian meals that fill you up. Nothing too spicy unless you specifically ask for it. We try to keep the prices fair because everyone is struggling with costs these days. Running a restaurant isn't easy, there’s always something breaking or some supply not arriving. But we manage it. It’s just our way of making a living.
