Utility Management Service is over on Brigade Road at 28/43. Being on Brigade Road means it’s always loud and there’s always people moving around outside. Our office is a bit of a refuge from that chaos. We’ve been managing utility-related tasks from this address for a long time. The space is filled with ledgers, computer screens, and stacks of utility bills that we need to sort through. We don't have a big storefront with a lot of glass; it’s more of a focused workspace where the real work happens behind the scenes. Our staff consists of people who have been with us for years and know the ins and outs of the city’s utility systems. We don’t use any polished corporate language to describe our day. We basically just help manage things like electricity, water, and other basic services for buildings and businesses. It’s a lot of data entry and phone calls to different departments. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we all get a bit frustrated, but we eventually get through the pile of work on our desks. We don’t have a fancy breakroom, so we usually just eat our lunch at our desks while talking about whatever is in the news. It’s a plain, honest office in one of the busiest parts of town. We just show up every morning and handle whatever utility issues come our way, making sure we don't miss anything important for our clients while the world goes by outside.
