Upadaya Ayurveda Bhandara And Clinic

Our place is located on Mathikere main road, number 15/33 A. If you live in Mathikere, you probably know the street well. It gets quite busy with people moving around all day. We do Ayurveda here. It’s a mix of a shop where we sell herbs and a small clinic where we see people. You can usually smell the oils and the dried plants as soon as you walk in. It’s a scent we have grown used to over the years. We aren't trying to be a modern hospital with white tiles everywhere. We keep things traditional because that’s what we know. The shelves are full of jars and packets. Sometimes it looks a bit cluttered, but we know exactly where everything is kept. People come in for all sorts of reasons, from joint pain to just feeling tired. We listen to them and suggest what might help from our stock. It is a slow process, not like taking a pill and feeling better in five minutes. Most of our customers have been coming to us for a long time. They bring their families too. We just sit here, talk to the folks who come in, and manage the shop. It’s a quiet life, despite the noise of the main road just outside our door. We just focus on the herbs and the people who need them to feel a bit better.
