You can find The Himalaya Pharmaceuticals Company out in Makali, which is on the outskirts of Bengaluru. Being away from the main city center has its ups and downs. It’s a bit quieter out here, though the trucks on the main road can still make quite a racket. We’ve been at this Makali spot for quite some time, and the building has seen a lot of history. The air feels a little different out this way, maybe because there's a bit more green space than in the heart of the city. Most of the staff live nearby, so we have a good mix of people who have been with the company for years. We don't really do the whole corporate culture thing with fancy meetings and jargon. We just come in, check the production lines, and make sure the shipments are ready to go out on time. Sometimes the rains make the roads a bit messy around the gates, but we manage to get the work done regardless. It’s a straightforward operation where everyone knows their job. We take pride in the fact that we’ve stayed put in Makali while the rest of the city changed so much around us.
