Vidya Herbs Private Limited

We are located over in JP Nagar 5th Phase, right on the corner of 23rd Main and 16th Cross. It’s a busy part of town. At Vidya Herbs Private Limited, we spend most of our time dealing with plant extracts and various powders. If you walk into the building, you might catch a scent of turmeric or maybe some bitter herbs depending on what we are processing that day. It's a mix of office work and technical stuff. We have bags of raw materials coming in from different farms. Some days are just spent checking the quality of the dried leaves or roots we receive. It takes a lot of patience. If the moisture is wrong, the whole batch is ruined. The labs are clean, but the storage area can get a bit dusty with all the herbal material. We’ve been at 322-A for a good while. Most of the staff live nearby, so we know the neighborhood well. It’s not a flashy setup. We have desks, computers, and a lot of shelves filled with samples in small glass jars. We drink a lot of tea. Sometimes we talk about the market prices for pepper or ginger over lunch. It’s practical work. We just focus on getting the extracts right so they can be used elsewhere. It’s a lot of testing and re-testing. Just a regular day in the herbal business for us. Sometimes the courier is late and we are stuck waiting around to send off the samples to the port, but we just use that time to catch up on the logs.
