Udupa Fast Food

This shop is at Rajajinagar Thakkarbapa Nagar 677. It is a small space but we manage to make it work for us. The street right outside is always full of noise with scooters and cars honking all day long. We have a big window in the front so we can see everything that is happening out on the road. Usually, the first thing we do when we arrive is turn on all the lights and check the gas tanks. The floor is made of plain concrete and we have to mop it at least twice a day because people bring in so much dirt from the street. There is a ceiling fan that makes a loud clicking noise when it is on high speed but it helps keep the air moving. We don't have a lot of room for people to sit down and eat, so most folks just stand at the counter or take their bags and walk away. It has been this way for a long time. The sign outside is getting a bit dusty and the letters are starting to fade in the sun. We thought about painting it last year but we never actually got around to it. Rajajinagar is a very busy part of town and there is always someone looking for a quick bite to eat. We keep the napkins in a messy pile on the counter for people to grab. Sometimes we run out of small change and have to run to the shop next door to ask for help. It is just a simple life here.
