U P Store

If you walk down 36 Shivaji Nagar in Triveni Nagar, you’ll find U P Store. It’s a small place but we keep a lot of things inside. The shelves are usually packed tight because we try to have whatever people in the neighborhood might need. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people come in at once, but we make it work. We spend a lot of our morning unloading boxes and making sure everything is where it should be. The street outside gets busy in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. We know most of the people who live around here by their faces if not their names. It’s not a supermarket with bright lights and music playing. It’s just a local shop where we write things down in a notebook and use a regular calculator. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the next delivery truck to show up. The floor is concrete and we have a small fan that hums in the corner. We open early and close when the street gets quiet. There isn’t much to say about it other than it’s where we are every day. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just come to the door at 36 Shivaji Nagar. It’s a simple life running a store in Triveni Nagar. We just keep the lights on and help whoever walks in to buy their daily items.
