U N Shanbhag

Operating out of 1602/39 Devaiah Park, U N Shanbhag is a small, straightforward setup. This area has a bit of an older feel to it, with narrow streets and plenty of trees around the park. Our office is more like a converted room than a corporate space. We do not have a big sign outside or a lobby. Most people who come here are regulars or have heard about us through word of mouth. It is a quiet spot compared to the main roads of Bangalore. We spend a lot of time sitting at our desks, going through files and handling the day's tasks. The pace here is a bit slower than the city center, which we actually prefer. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood—neighbors talking, the occasional scooter passing by, and birds in the trees. It is a very personal way to run a business. We don't have a huge staff, so whoever answers the door is usually the one doing the work. Sometimes we lose track of time because it is so peaceful. We keep our records in old-fashioned folders and try to stay on top of everything without making a big scene. It is not the kind of place where you will find high-tech gadgets everywhere. We just use what we need to get through the work. It is an honest way to spend the day, and being near Devaiah Park makes for a nice walk during our lunch breaks.
