Tunbridge High School

We’ve been here at 86/2 Infantry Road for a long time now. People in Shivaji Nagar know the building well. It’s right in Tasker Town. Things get busy around here, especially in the mornings when the kids show up. We have classrooms that have seen a lot of students come and go over the years. Some of the desks are older, but they work just fine. We try to keep the place organized, though with so many teenagers running around, it’s a bit of a challenge sometimes. The staff rooms are usually full of papers and tea mugs. We don’t have fancy gates or anything, just a solid entrance off the main road. Most people walk or take the bus since we’re right in the middle of everything. It’s noisy outside with the traffic, but once you’re inside the gates, it settles down a bit. We spend our days teaching math and history and all the usual things you’d expect. Sometimes the roof needs a bit of work after the heavy rains. We just get on with it. It’s a school, after all, not a museum. The kids play out in the small courtyard when they have a break. You can hear them laughing from the street. We’ve had families send their children here for generations. It’s just how things go in this part of town. We’re glad to be part of the local community and just keep doing what we do.
