Trident Ghar Ka Khana

Our place is tucked away in BTM 2nd Stage on Dhole Patil Road. The name says it all, we just try to make food that tastes like what you’d get at home. Many people living around here are staying in hostels or small apartments and they don’t have kitchens of their own. They come to us because they’re tired of eating out at big, expensive restaurants. We use normal ingredients, the kind you buy for your own house. The kitchen is right there, you can see us working if you stand by the counter. It's not a silent operation. There’s always the sound of onions being chopped or pans hitting the burners. We don't have a huge staff, just family and a couple of helpers who have been with us for a while. Sometimes we get overwhelmed when a big group shows up out of nowhere, so things might take a little longer than usual. We don't have fancy plates, just the basic steel ones that are easy to wash and don't break. The tables are wooden and a bit heavy to move around. We don't do reservations. You just show up and if there's a seat, you take it. If not, you wait a few minutes outside. We keep the windows open to let the steam out, so you can hear the traffic from the road. It’s just a plain, honest spot for a meal when you don't feel like cooking for yourself tonight.
