Total Food

Out here at Nagashettyhalli 2nd Cross, things are usually moving. We are at 7/A on Nehru Road, right in the New Gudadahalli area. It’s a busy corner and there is always a lot of noise from the bikes and the people talking outside. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The kitchen space is small so we have to be careful not to bump into each other when things get fast. We get our supplies delivered early in the morning, usually before the sun is fully up. The crates get stacked by the door and we have to move them inside before the sidewalk gets too crowded with people. The paint on our sign is starting to peel a bit from the sun hitting it all afternoon. Inside, we have a few stools but most people just stand or take their stuff to go. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how everything works. The clock on the wall is five minutes fast but we never bothered to fix it. It helps us stay on schedule I guess. We see the same faces every day, mostly students or folks working in the nearby offices. We don't do anything special, just show up and get to work making food for the neighborhood until the lights go out and we can finally head home.
