Time Out Cafe

We are located at Number 71 in the Reddy Compound. It is right on Millers Road. Time Out Cafe isn't a huge place, just a few tables and chairs tucked inside. We started it because we wanted a place where we could work for ourselves. The kitchen is quite small, so things can get a bit cramped when it gets busy during the lunch hour. You can usually smell what is cooking from all the way down the street. We do not have a big fancy menu with professional pictures. We just have what we have for the day written on a board. Sometimes we run out of things early if the morning crowd is bigger than we expected. The walls are painted a pale yellow, but they could probably use a new coat of paint soon. We have got some old posters on the walls that we found at a local market years ago. It is a bit of a mix of styles and nothing really matches. We spend a lot of our time washing dishes and sweeping the floor to keep it clean. The regulars are mostly people who work in the other buildings inside the Reddy Compound. They come in for a quick break and a chat. We know how most of them take their coffee without even asking. It is nice having that connection with the people around here. We are not trying to be the most famous cafe in the city. It is just hard work.
