Thottathil Food House

Thottathil Food House is over at Madivala 25/1. It’s a straightforward place to get a meal. We don't have any decorations or anything special on the walls. It’s just tables and chairs for people who want to eat. Madivala is always crowded and noisy, and our place is no different. We get a lot of workers and people who are staying in the PGs nearby. The menu is mostly simple stuff that we can cook up in big batches. We start cooking early so everything is ready for the lunch rush. It gets very hot in the kitchen, especially during the summer. We’ve been at this address for a while. Sometimes the sink leaks or a light bulb goes out, and we just fix it when we can. We’re not trying to be a fancy cafe. It’s just a food house where you can get a plate of food and a glass of water. We see the same people every day, and we know who likes what. The traffic outside on the road is always a mess, but inside it’s just the sound of people eating and talking. We just keep going, day after day. It’s hard work but it’s what we do. We usually close up once the dinner crowd thins out. There's no fancy sign, just the name on the door at 25/1. We try to keep the floors swept.
