Thirumala Gents Parlour

Our shop is located at 7/1 on the 1st cross, 5th main, in the Vasanthapa block area of Ganganagar. We are right across the street from Golden Footwear, so that’s the easiest way to find us if you are new to the area. It is usually a pretty quiet street compared to the main roads. I have been running this gents parlour for quite a few years now. It is just a small place for guys to get a quick shave or a hair trim. Sometimes the neighborhood kids come in with their fathers and the place gets a bit loud, but I like the energy they bring. It makes the day feel shorter. The shop isn't very big, but we have enough space for the chairs and a small bench for waiting. I usually keep some old newspapers or magazines on the table, though most people just look at their phones these days. I grew up in this part of Bangalore and it feels right to have a business here. Being on my feet all day can be tiring and my back usually hurts by the time I close up, but that is just part of the job. We try to work quickly so customers can get back to their families. No one really wants to spend their whole afternoon in a barber chair. It’s a decent way to make a living and I’m glad for the regular faces I see every week. If the traffic is bad, I might be a few minutes late opening, but I am usually here by nine.
