Taika Spa Lounge

At Taika Spa Lounge, we are located at No.206-209 in The Pavilion on Church Street. It is a very busy part of 560001, so being up on the second floor helps a bit with the noise. When you walk in, you can still hear the honking from the street sometimes, but we try to keep it as calm as possible. The rooms are set up with plain tables and we go through a lot of white towels every single day. Washing and drying those is a never-ending job for the staff. We spend a lot of time making sure the oils are stocked and the floors are wiped down because people expect the place to be tidy. Church Street is always changing, with new shops opening up every month, but we have stayed in this same spot for a while now. It is a bit of a maze inside The Pavilion if you do not know where you are going. We have some small lamps that we keep on, though one of them flickers if you touch the wire wrong. It is not like those fancy places you see in luxury magazines. It is just a local spot where we work. We mostly talk about the traffic or what is happening in the city while we wait for the next person to come in. The curtains are heavy to keep the sunlight out. We just try to keep the place running.
