The Reader

The Reader is located at 208 Yelahanka, specifically in Shiv Nagar. We are right opposite the Mother Dairy, which is a very easy way to find us. It’s a quiet little spot where we deal with books and all sorts of reading materials. The shop isn't massive, so the shelves are usually packed tight, and sometimes books end up in stacks on the floor. It has that cozy, slightly disorganized feel that you expect from a local book place. We spend a lot of time sorting through new arrivals and helping people find something specific they’ve been looking for. Shiv Nagar is a nice area, and being across from the dairy means we get a lot of people just dropping in while they’re out doing their errands. We don't have any fancy coffee machines or lounge chairs; it’s just about the books. Sometimes the dust gets to us, but that’s just part of the job when you work with paper all day. We’ve been here for a good while, and we like the regulars who come in just to chat about what they’ve been reading lately. It’s a simple, straightforward life here at the shop. We aren't trying to compete with the big stores; we just provide a place for people in Yelahanka to find something to read. It takes effort to keep track of everything, but we do our best with what we have in this small space.
