The New Royal Hair Style

Our shop is located at number 2, on the 3rd main and 2nd cross in Chikka Adugodi. It is right opposite the temple there, so it is a very easy spot to recognize. Chikka Adugodi is one of those parts of Bangalore that feels very local and tucked away from the main highway noise. We call the place The New Royal Hair Style, but it is just a simple neighborhood shop where people come to look a bit better. The temple across the street brings a lot of people to this corner, and we often see the same faces every week. Inside, we have our mirrors and the chairs, and not much else. We don't believe in having a lot of decorations because we are there to work, not to show off. The shop is small, so when there are three or four people waiting, it feels very full and busy. We talk about sports, the price of vegetables, or whatever else is on people's minds. The 560029 area has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of it. Some days the rain comes down hard and people duck into the shop just to stay dry for a few minutes. We don't mind. It's just how things are in a neighborhood like this. We've been cutting hair here for a long time and we hope to be here for many more years, just doing the same basic job every single day.
