The New Heera Panna

Our shop, The New Heera Panna, is right in the middle of Pathi Market in Shivaji Nagar, specifically units 62 and 63. If you’ve ever been to Shivaji Nagar, you know it’s a maze of people, bikes, and stalls everywhere. We’ve been in this market for quite a while now. The space is small, so we have boxes stacked up almost to the ceiling to make room for everything we sell. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two customers come in at once. We sell all sorts of things, mostly clothes and fabrics, and we get new stock every week from the suppliers. We don't have fancy lights or a changing room with big mirrors. You just have to hold things up and see if they look right for you. We spend most of our day bargaining with people and keeping an eye on the street outside. It’s loud and there’s always music playing from the next stall over. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when there’s a heavy downpour, so we have to move the plastic sheets around to protect the goods. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know exactly where everything is. We don't bother with fancy bags or labels. We just give you what you bought and hope to see you again soon. It’s just how business is done here.
