The Menhir Art Gallery

The Menhir Art Gallery is out on Sarjapur Road, right next to the BSNL telephone exchange in Doddakannelli. It’s a busy road these days with all the new buildings going up. We have a collection of different pieces, mostly stuff we like or things local artists bring in. The lighting inside isn't always perfect, but we try our best with it. People usually stop by when they’re stuck in traffic or heading home from work. It’s a bit of an escape from the noise outside. We’ve been here for a while now, watching the area change from empty plots to all these offices and apartments. The gallery itself is pretty simple. White walls, some wooden floors, and whatever art happens to be on display that week. Sometimes we have a lot of paintings, other times it’s sculptures or smaller handmade items. We don't do big fancy openings with wine and cheese. It’s more casual than that. If you like looking at art without someone breathing down your neck, this is a good place. We just open the doors and let people come in. The BSNL exchange is the best landmark if you’re trying to find us. Traffic can be a nightmare in the evenings, so mornings are usually better if you want to really look around. We’re just here doing our thing, keeping the gallery open for whoever wants to see some art. Sometimes the rainy weather keeps people away, but the gallery stays a quiet spot for those who do come in. We like seeing what new artists are doing.
