Tejas Brick Industries

Out here at Tejas Brick Industries, we spend most of our time outdoors. We are located at 29/3 Amani Doddanakere, which is on the Goravikere Main Road. This is part of Hosakote Taluk. It is a lot of open land and dirt. Making bricks is a messy job and we are always covered in some kind of dust or mud. The sun can be really strong out here in the open fields. We have the kilns set up and the workers are always moving stacks of bricks from one place to another. It is a very physical way to make a living. The road out here is okay but it gets muddy when it rains. We do not have a fancy office or anything. It is just a site where the work happens. You can see the smoke from the kilns from a distance. We get trucks coming in to load up and take the bricks to construction sites. It is quiet except for the sound of the tractors and the workers talking. Hosakote is growing but we are still in a spot that feels a bit more rural. We have been doing this for a while and we know the soil here is good for what we make. It is just basic labor and keeping the fires going at the right temperature all day long.
