Taste Of The Nation

We are Taste Of The Nation, located at 4C/118 on P Dmello Road in the Banaswadi area. The name sounds a bit big, but we are actually just a small family-run operation. My wife does most of the cooking while I handle the front and the deliveries. We’ve been at this spot for about four years now. Before this, I worked in a big hotel, but I got tired of all the rules and the corporate way of doing things. Here, if we want to change a recipe, we just do it. We don't have to ask anyone for permission. The shop is on a corner, so we get a good breeze when the doors are open. We have a few potted plants outside to make it look a bit nicer, though I sometimes forget to water them. The floor is a bit uneven, so you have to watch your step when you walk in. We serve a lot of different things, mostly stuff that people around here like to eat daily. It’s not about being gourmet; it’s about being consistent. Sometimes we get overwhelmed when a big group shows up out of nowhere, and the service might slow down a little. We always apologize and try to make it up to them. It's a humble life, but it pays the bills and we get to meet interesting people every day.
