Taste Buds

Taste Buds is sitting right in Koramangala Midc 897. If you know the area, you know it gets pretty packed with people working in the nearby offices. Our kitchen isn't very big, so things get hot fast when the stoves are all going at once. We have a couple of big windows, but they mostly look out onto the back alley where the trash bins stay. It is just a workspace for us. We spend most of our day chopping onions and getting the spices lined up in those metal containers. The floor is a bit uneven near the sink, so you have to watch your step when you're carrying a heavy pot. We’ve been meaning to fix the flickering light in the corner, but we always forget until it starts acting up in the evening. Most of the people who come in are in a hurry, so we try to keep things moving. We use a lot of dish soap. The shelves are stacked with plates that don't all match because we’ve had to replace them one by one over the years. It’s just how it goes in a place like this. We don’t have a fancy sign or anything, just the one the landlord let us put up. It’s an honest living. We keep the salt and pepper shakers filled and the water jugs topped off. There is a small shelf for people to leave their helmets while they eat.
