Syntax Academy

Syntax Academy is based in HBR Layout, near Kumara Park East at 721/A. It’s a decent enough spot, though the parking can be a real headache if you arrive after ten in the morning. We started this place because we saw a need for people to learn things without all the fluff you get at the bigger institutions. It is mostly just rooms with some tables and computers where people can sit and focus. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, which helps when you are trying to study something difficult. We get a mix of people coming through the doors, some young kids and some older folks looking to change their careers. It’s not a polished campus with a cafeteria, usually we just go out for snacks at the local stalls. The whiteboard in the main room is stained because someone used the wrong marker last month, and we still haven't managed to get it completely clean. We don't spend much time on fancy brochures or things like that. Mostly, word just gets around that we’re here and that we know our stuff. It can be a bit chaotic on Mondays when everyone shows up at once, but we manage to get through it. The building itself is older, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it serves its purpose. We just show up every day, open the doors, and get to work helping whoever walks in.
