I2Tutorials

I2Tutorials is a small setup we have in Bangalore, right in the Karnataka-560034 area. It is basically just a few rooms we have filled with sturdy desks and a lot of whiteboards. We do not have a big fancy building or anything like that. It is just a practical place for students to come after their regular school hours are finished. Most days, the place stays pretty quiet until about four or five in the evening. That is when the kids start arriving, usually with heavy backpacks and a lot of questions about their math or science homework. The fans on the ceiling hum away to keep the air moving, and you can hear the constant buzz of Bangalore traffic coming through the windows. We have got bookshelves along the walls that are overflowing with old textbooks and folders from years of teaching. Sometimes the markers run dry right in the middle of an explanation, and we have to go hunting for a new one in the desk drawer. It is not a corporate school environment. It feels more like a study group where everyone knows each other. We spend our evenings going over equations and grammar rules until the sun goes down. The parents often wait outside on their scooters to pick the kids up. It is a simple routine that we have been following for a while now, and it seems to work for the families in our part of town.
