Surya Hair Dresser

If you know Shivaji Nagar, you probably know where the Muthyalama temple is. We are right near there, at number 64 on Arunachalam Mudaliar Road. Surya Hair Dresser has been in this spot for quite some time. It's a small shop, nothing too flashy, but it works for what we do. We open up early most days because that's when people like to come by before they head to work. The street stays pretty busy with all the traffic going through Bangalore 560001. You get used to the noise after a while. Most of our regulars just walk in from the neighborhood. We have a few chairs and the usual tools. It’s a simple life running a place like this. Sometimes the shop gets crowded on weekends, and people have to wait their turn on the bench outside or near the door. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just stay here at the same address. Arunachalam Mudaliar Road has a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of it. We keep the place clean and keep the scissors moving. It’s just me and a couple of others usually. We know most of the faces that come through the door. It’s a decent living and we like being near the temple. It brings a lot of peace to the area despite the city rush. We just focus on the hair and the chat.
