Suresh Hotagi

I’m Suresh Hotagi and I run things from my spot on the Gr Floor over in Basaveshara Nagar. The address is 1109/A, 8th Main, right in the 3rd Block of the 3rd Stage. It’s a busy part of Bangalore, especially during the commute hours, but it’s a good place to be. I’ve been at this address for a long time now. The Gr Floor makes it easy for people to drop in without having to climb any stairs, which they seem to appreciate. I keep the place simple. There’s a desk, some chairs, and whatever papers I’m currently looking at. I don’t go in for those modern glass offices you see in the city center. This feels more like a real neighborhood business should. My neighbors are mostly families and a few other small shops. We all sort of look out for each other. Sometimes the water doesn't run right in the morning, so I have to deal with that first thing. It’s not always easy running your own thing, but I prefer it this way. I get to decide when I open and when I head home for dinner. Most days I’m here until late evening. If you’re around Basaveshara Nagar, you’ve probably walked past my door a dozen times. Bangalore-79 (India) is a big area, but this little corner feels like its own small world. I just try to stay busy and keep things moving as best as I can every day.
