Being based in Bangalore means we are in the middle of a lot of industrial activity. This specific branch handles a lot of the logistical side of things for our measurement tools. We don't have a big fancy office in one of those new tech parks; instead, we work out of a more traditional space that feels a bit more like home. There are stacks of catalogs on the desks and a few old computers that still work perfectly fine for what we need. The morning usually starts with checking the emails and seeing which orders need to be shipped out across Karnataka. We spend a good amount of time on the phone talking to suppliers and making sure our inventory is where it needs to be. The traffic in the city is pretty bad, so we try to get most of our errands done early before the roads get blocked up. Our team is small, and we mostly just handle our own tasks without much fuss. We have a cupboard full of biscuits and tea bags for when we need a break in the afternoon. The walls have some old calendars hanging on them, and the floor has some scuff marks from moving heavy crates around. It’s just a regular workplace where we get things done. We don’t try to be anything we’re not, we just focus on the measurements.
