Our office is at B29/2 in the V.D. Cloth Market in Fazal Pura. Being in the cloth market means it is always hectic and loud. There are rolls of fabric being moved around on carts and people bargaining everywhere you look. We’ve been part of this market for a while now. Our space isn't very big at all, but we manage to handle our business from here. We deal with textiles and various clothing materials. The building is older, and the stairs are a bit narrow and steep, but it’s right in the heart of the action. We spend our days talking to suppliers on the phone and checking the quality of the cloth coming in. There’s always fine dust from the fabrics floating in the air. We don't have fancy furniture or a modern office setup like you see in the magazines. It’s mostly just metal desks, plastic chairs, and stacks of fabric samples. Fazal Pura is a crowded neighborhood, so getting here can take a long time if you’re driving a car. Most of us just walk or take a rickshaw. We usually have tea delivered from the stall downstairs a few times a day. It’s just the local way of doing things. We know the other shop owners around us. We don't do big advertisements or anything. Most of our work comes from being here in the market every day and talking to people face to face. It’s just a regular business trying to stay steady in a busy city.
