We set up our office in the Preksha Building, right on the second floor. It sits between 10th and 11th Cross, which is a pretty decent spot to be. We are not some massive corporation with a lobby and a receptionist; it is mostly just us in a room with our computers and a few desks. We do technology work, which means a lot of sitting and thinking and typing. It is a quiet office for the most part, except when we are all debating how to fix a bug or a piece of code that is not behaving. We chose this location because it is easy for the team to get to, and there are good places nearby to grab lunch. We are not interested in making big speeches about the future. We just take the tasks as they come and try to finish them properly. Some days we stay late when a deadline is breathing down our necks, and other days we head out early if the work is caught up. The building itself is older, but it is sturdy and keeps the rain out. We have got a small kitchen area where we make tea, and that is about as fancy as it gets. We like the independence of being a smaller outfit. It lets us focus on the actual work instead of sitting in meetings all day.
