Subhan Stores

Subhan Stores is located right on the Nagawara Hanafia Mosque Main Road in Khushal Nagar. Being in K.G. Halli 135 means we see a lot of people coming and going throughout the day. The store is tucked into a spot where the foot traffic is always heavy, especially on Fridays. We keep the shelves stocked with all the usual things people need for their houses. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once. We don't have a computer system for billing; we just use a pen and a notebook like we always have. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a clicking sound but it keeps us cool enough. Sometimes we sit on the wooden stools out front when things are quiet. My family has been around this neighborhood for a long time, so we know most of the customers by their first names. We hear all the local news and gossip while we weigh out grains or bag up supplies. It isn't a supermarket with bright lights and music. It’s just a regular shop with a heavy metal counter and sacks of rice on the floor. The kids from the school nearby often stop by for a small treat on their way home. We just try to keep things simple and stay open until the street lights come on.
