Study Centre

We set up this place in the 560001 area of Bangalore because there weren't many quiet spots for people to just sit and read. It is basically a few rooms with tables and chairs. Some students come here every single morning as soon as we open the doors. They usually stay until late evening. The noise from the street can get a bit much during rush hour, but inside it stays mostly peaceful. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. It's just a functional space. People bring their own books and laptops. Sometimes the fan in the back room makes a clicking sound, but nobody seems to mind too much. We tried to keep things simple. You find us easily enough once you get to this part of town. Most of the people who come here live nearby or take the bus in. It's funny how everyone has their favorite chair and gets a bit annoyed if someone else sits in it first. We see a lot of the same faces every day. It’s not a big corporate operation. It is just us running the place and making sure the lights are on and the floors are swept. Sometimes we run out of space during exam season, so it gets a bit crowded then. We also have a small water cooler near the entrance. We just do what we can to keep it running for the local students around here. It's a simple enough life.
