St Josephs Indian High School

St Josephs Indian High School is located right at No.2 on Vittal Mallya Road. We are pretty much neighbors with Mallya Hospital, so there is always a lot of activity happening just outside our gates. Being near Grant Road means the traffic is almost constant, but you get used to the sound of horns and cars after a while. The school itself is an old building with high ceilings and those heavy wooden doors that have been around for decades. We have several floors, and the hallways are usually full of noise until the bell rings. The staff here spends a lot of time just managing the daily rush. It’s not easy keeping track of so many students in the middle of such a busy part of the city. We have a small playground area, but it’s mostly concrete. People often use us as a landmark when they are trying to find their way to the hospital or the shops nearby. The office is usually cluttered with old files and stacks of notebooks that need grading. We try to keep the fans running all day because it gets quite stuffy in the afternoons. It is just a regular school day for us, starting early in the morning and ending when the sun starts to go down over Vittal Mallya Road. We see a lot of different people coming through here every day, from the shopkeepers nearby to the parents rushing from work.
