Down here at 495 Indira Nagar, things stay pretty loud and busy most of the time. We go by Srinivasa Redymix Concrete, and if you find yourself on Sardar Bhavan Lane, you’ll definitely see our operation. There is always a thin layer of dust on everything, no matter how much we try to sweep it away with the old brooms. It’s just the nature of working with concrete and heavy machinery. The trucks are coming and going at all hours, and the drivers are usually in a bit of a hurry to stay on schedule. We try to keep things moving so nobody is left waiting too long for a load. My desk is usually covered in delivery notes and old coffee cups. It isn't a quiet office job, that’s for sure. People pop in from the lane to ask questions or check on their orders. We’ve been in this part of Indira Nagar for a good bit now. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard for the mixers to get out, but we manage. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to get the jobs done. It’s hard work, and your hands stay rough, but there’s a certain feeling of getting something built. The sun beats down on the yard in the afternoon, and we all look forward to that evening breeze. Sardar Bhavan Lane is a tight squeeze sometimes, but it is home for us.
