I work out of a small space at ACR Tower on Residency Road, specifically in rooms 101 and 102 on the first floor. Being in the middle of the city means there’s always something happening right outside the door, which is pretty exciting. It’s a bit of a contrast to the quiet office where I spend most of my time alone. As a freelancer, it’s mostly just me and my computer, along with a few stacks of documents and a lot of empty coffee mugs. The office isn't very large, but it’s got enough room for a desk and a small table for when people come to visit. I don't have a big corporate team or a receptionist to answer calls. If the phone rings, I’m the one who answers it myself. If there’s mail delivered, I’m the one who picks it up from the box. It can be a lot of work to handle everything, but I like being my own boss at the end of the day. The building itself is pretty busy with other businesses, so there’s a lot of coming and going in the hallways all the time. I usually get in early before the traffic on Residency Road gets too bad for driving. Most of my day is spent typing away or making calls to get things sorted for various projects. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work I do. I don't need much more than a good internet connection and a quiet place to think.
