Srinidhi Silks & Sarees

We are located in Chinnappa Mansion on West Park Road. Most people just know it as Malleshwaram 8th Cross. Srinidhi Silks & Sarees has been a part of this street for quite some time. The shop is always full of color because of all the silk hanging up. We have stacks of sarees reaching almost to the ceiling. It’s a busy spot, especially during the wedding season or festivals like Vara Mahalakshmi. You can hear the bustle of the market right outside our door. Malleshwaram is famous for its shopping and we are right in the middle of it. We spend our days unfolding fabric for customers and then folding it back up neatly, which takes a lot of practice. The shop isn't massive, but we make use of every inch. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when a whole family comes in to pick out a wedding outfit. We have the usual wooden counters and stools for people to sit on while they look at the patterns. It's a traditional way of doing business. We know many of our customers by name because they've been coming here for years. We aren't a big showroom with air conditioning that freezes you out. We are just a local shop with good fabric and people who know their weaves. It’s a lot of hard work keeping the stock fresh, but we enjoy the daily chatter.
