Working in Horamavu has its ups and downs, mostly because Bangalore North is just getting so crowded these days. Srigan Enterprises is tucked away at number 847. It used to be that you could see the trees from our back window, but now it is mostly just more buildings and construction sites. The dust is a real problem lately, so we keep the windows shut even when it is hot. Our office is just a couple of rooms with some basic shelving. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. We spend a lot of time organizing things and making sure our records are straight. It is a lot of manual work, moving stuff around and keeping track of what comes in and goes out. The guys at the tea shop nearby know our order by heart because we go there every afternoon around four. It is a small highlight in a long day. The address 847 is etched into the gate, though the paint is peeling off quite a bit. We haven't bothered to fix it because everyone who needs to find us already knows where we are. We don't have a big corporate strategy or anything like that. We just show up in the morning, do the tasks that are waiting for us, and head home when the work is finally finished. It’s just how we run things here and it seems to work for us well enough.
