Sri Venkata Padma Andra Style Mess & Pg

You can find us at No.260 on the 6th Main in Mico Layout, which is part of BTM Layout 2nd Stage. We run an Andhra style mess and a PG for people who need a place to stay and a good meal. Most of the folks staying with us are young guys who have come to Bangalore for work or studies. The mess is the heart of the place, where we serve spicy Andhra food that reminds a lot of our tenants of home. It’s a busy building with a lot of people coming in and out at all hours. Managing a PG isn't always easy because there’s always something that needs fixing, like a leaky tap or a light bulb that went out. We just handle it as it comes. The rooms are simple and we try to keep them as clean as possible, though with so many people, it’s a constant job. We don’t have any big corporate rules; we just expect people to be decent to each other. Lunch and dinner times are when the place really comes alive with everyone eating together. We’ve been in BTM for a while now and we know the neighborhood well. It’s a loud and crowded area, but that’s why people like staying here. We just keep doing what we do, cooking the rice and dal and looking after the rooms for everyone who stays with us.
