Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science & Research Hospital

If you drive down Kanakapura Road about 21 kilometers from the city, you’ll find us in Udayapura. We are located near O.B.Chudahalli. It’s a bit of a trek from the main part of Bengaluru, but it’s much quieter out here. We have the college where students learn about Ayurveda, and then there’s the hospital part where people come for treatment. It’s a large campus with a lot of trees and open space. People come here because they want a different kind of care than what they get in the city. We have doctors and students walking around in white coats all day long. The hospital can get quite busy with patients coming in from the surrounding villages and the city. We deal with a lot of herbs and traditional oils. It’s a very different smell than a regular hospital. We’ve been at this location for a long time now. The mornings are usually the best time when it’s still cool outside before the sun gets too high. We have a lot of paperwork to handle, just like any other place. It’s a lot of work keeping both the teaching side and the patient side running smoothly. We aren't trying to be anything other than a place for healing and learning. It’s a practical environment. Students study hard, and the hospital staff stays on their feet. That’s just life here on the edge of the city.
