Sri Shankar Traders

We are over at number 64 on 3rd Cross Road inside the APMC Yard. Being near Bengaluru, this area is always moving and there is never a quiet moment. The yard is full of noise, mostly from tractors and people loading up goods. Our shop is a basic space where we keep our inventory and handle all the paperwork. We spend a lot of time talking to farmers and other traders who come through the yard daily. It’s a dirty job sometimes with all the sacks and dust, but we don’t mind getting our hands dirty. The mornings are the busiest part of the day when the auctions and deliveries are happening all at once. By the afternoon, things slow down a little bit and we can finally sit down for a cup of tea. We have been in this spot for years and the walls could probably tell a lot of stories if they could talk. It’s a very practical environment where people just want to get their business done and move on. We don’t have any fancy decorations or air conditioning, just some fans and our desks. It’s a local way of doing things and we fit right in with the rest of the yard. We stay until the last of the work is cleared for the day. It’s a steady routine that keeps us busy at Sri Shankar Traders from Monday to Saturday.
