If you come looking for Sri Rajashree Caterers, you have to go to the 1st floor at No.70 on Laxmi Temple Road. We are right there in the 8th Block of Koramangala. Being on the first floor makes things a little difficult when we have to carry heavy rice bags or large oil cans up the stairs, but we managed to get used to it over the years. Koramangala is always busy, so there is constant noise from the street below. Our kitchen isn't huge, but we have arranged everything to fit. We spend a lot of time near the sinks washing greens and preparing the masalas. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so we don't really have formal meetings or anything like that. We just talk while we work. The Laxmi Temple nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us. Sometimes the steam from the large cookers makes the whole place feel like a sauna. We keep the windows open, but on a hot day, it doesn't help much. We usually have a list pinned to the wall with all the items we need to cook for the day. It’s a basic way of working but it keeps us on track. We don't use any fancy machines, mostly just our hands and some old-fashioned grinders. It's hard work, but we like being in this part of town.
