About Sri Raghavendra Concrete Pipes – Building & Construction Material in Bengaluru
Out here at Survey No. 140 on Mysore Road, we’re about 23 kilometers away from the main city. It’s a bit of a trek to get out to Kumbalgodu, but we like the space we have. You need a lot of room when you’re making and storing concrete pipes like we do. The air out here feels a bit different than the city center, though the Mysore Road traffic is always a constant hum in the background. Our day starts early, usually before the sun is fully up, getting the machinery ready. Everything in the yard is heavy and grey. We’ve got a group of workers who have been doing this for years; they can tell if a pipe is right just by looking at it. The office is a simple building on the edge of the plot. It’s mostly just for filing invoices and taking a break from the noise of the plant. We don’t have any polished sales people or brochures. People usually find us because they need something specific for a drainage project or a road job. We just show them what we’ve got in stock. Sometimes the rain slows us down and we have to wait for the ground to dry out so we can move the heavy loaders without sinking. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we do. We just keep making the pipes and sending them out on trailers to wherever they’re needed.
