Sri Om Manju

My shop is called Sri Om Manju. You can find us at 53/6 on CT Street, right in the Malakala Market area of Kamakshi Palya. Being in a market means it is always noisy and there are people everywhere. We like the energy though. We have been here for a good amount of time. The shop is tucked away a bit, but once you find Malakala Market, you just look for CT Street. We do a bit of everything here. It’s not a specialized place with only one thing. We just try to provide what the people in Kamakshi Palya are looking for. The shelves are full and sometimes things get a bit dusty because of the market traffic. I run the place mostly by myself, though sometimes my son helps out after his school. We don't have a big philosophy or anything. We just open the shutters in the morning and hope for a good day. Dealing with customers in a market is always interesting. You meet all kinds of people. We try to be honest and just do our business. The building 53/6 is old but it stays cool in the summer. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. We just keep the lights on and the goods ready. Sri Om Manju is just a simple market shop. That’s how it has always been and how we like it. It’s just life in the market.
