Sri Lakshmi Darshini

Sri Lakshmi Darshini is right on the Mira-Bhayander Main Road at 1878, in the New Thippasandra area. It’s a very busy spot because of the main road. We see a lot of commuters who just want something quick. We open up pretty early to get the stove going. The tea is always the first thing ready. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls, just the basic stuff you need to run a food joint. It’s often loud because of the traffic outside and the plates clattering. We’ve got a few guys working the counters who have been here forever. They know how people like their food without even asking. We don't use a computer for orders, just a pad of paper and a pen. It works fine for us. Sometimes we run out of space for people to stand, so they spill out onto the sidewalk. That’s just life on a main road. We’ve seen the area grow a lot over the years. More cars, more people, more noise. But the routine inside the shop stays mostly the same. We wash the floors every night and start all over again the next day. It's not a glamorous life, but it's ours. We just focus on getting the food out fast and hot. If you're looking for us, look for the crowd of people near the entrance. We keep the counters wiped and the coffee hot for anyone stopping by on their way to work.
