Sri Devaki Provision Store

You can find Sri Devaki Provision Store over in Prashanth Nagar. We are located near the TV Industrial Estate, right on S K Ahire Marg at number 42. Being so close to the industrial area means we see a lot of workers during their breaks or after they finish their shifts. The store is packed with all sorts of things. We have bags of rice, soaps, and snacks stacked up high. It’s not a huge place, so we have to use every bit of space we have. Sometimes you have to turn sideways to get down an aisle if we just got a new shipment of goods. We’ve been here at number 42 for a while. The sign outside has seen better days, the paint is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone knows where we are. We start our day before the factory whistles go off. It’s a bit quiet in the mid-afternoon, so that’s when we count the tins and jars on the shelves. S K Ahire Marg gets pretty noisy with the trucks and bikes, but inside the store, it’s just the sound of the radio or someone asking for the price of something. We don’t do anything fancy. We just sell provisions to people who need them. It’s a small family run thing. We take turns sitting behind the counter. It’s hard work, standing all day, but we like being part of Prashanth Nagar and seeing our regulars every single day.
