Running Sri Chamudeshwari Water Supply out of Chikkadugodi Lamington Road 12 keeps us pretty active. Water is one of those things everyone needs, especially when the main lines act up or the heat gets bad. Our trucks are moving around the area a lot. Lamington Road is always a bit of a mess with traffic, so timing the deliveries can be tricky sometimes. We’ve got a small crew here. Most of us have been doing this for a long time, so we know the shortcuts around the neighborhood. Pulling hoses and driving through narrow lanes all day isn't exactly a glamorous job. We just try to get the water where it needs to go. Sometimes the pumps give us trouble or a truck needs a repair, which slows things down, but that’s just how it is. No one here works in a big corporate office. Our space at number 12 is mostly for managing the schedules and keeping the equipment ready. People call us when their tanks are low, and we fit them in as fast as we can. Working this way feels honest. We see a lot of different people, from house owners to small shopkeepers who need their daily supply. We’ve been based in Chikkadugodi for a while now and most of the locals recognize our tankers when they pass by. We just do our part to keep things running in the community without making a big fuss about it.
