Sri Balaji Traders

Sri Balaji Traders has been part of Jayanagar West for a long time now. We are located at 696/40, which is a spot that gets a fair amount of foot traffic but isn't on the main main road. We deal in all sorts of general trading items. Most of the day is spent on the phone talking to suppliers or checking the stock that just arrived on the rickshaw. The shop is a bit cluttered, I’ll admit. We have boxes stacked in the hallway and ledger books piled up on the desk. I don't use any of those fancy software programs for the accounts; I still prefer writing everything down by hand so I can see it clearly. It feels more real that way. The neighborhood has changed a lot, with new buildings going up, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We have a small photo of the deity with a garland near the entrance, and we light the incense every morning before we start work. It’s not a polished corporate office with glass partitions. It’s just a place of business where we drink tea, talk to the other shopkeepers, and try to make a bit of profit. We don't have a mission or a fancy goal. We just want to make sure the customers get what they ordered and that the bills get paid on time.
