You’ll find us at 91 Kasturiba Nagar, over on the Pipeline West side. It’s a busy area with a lot of construction always going on. Sri Bagyalakshmi Cement Agency is basically a big warehouse space with a small desk tucked in the corner. There are bags of cement stacked high up to the ceiling. It’s dusty work, there is no avoiding that. We wear old clothes because everything gets covered in grey powder by noon. The office part is just a table, a few ledgers, and a phone that rings quite a bit. We don't have any fancy decorations. Just a few pictures on the wall. The trucks come in early to load up, so we are usually here before the sun is fully up. It is hard work lifting those bags, but we have a good crew who’s been with us for a while. We don't really do any advertising. People in the neighborhood know we are here when they are building their houses. Pipeline West can be a bit tricky to navigate if you don't know the turns. We try to keep the area in front of the shop clear for the deliveries. It’s not a polished business environment. It’s just a place where people get what they need for their building projects. We take our lunch breaks together in the back when it’s quiet. It is a long day but the work is steady and reliable for us.
