You can find Sri Annapurna Catering Services at 14/35/2 in Konankunte. We’ve been set up here for several years now. It’s a family-run thing, so you’ll usually see my wife or my brother helping out in the kitchen. We don't have a big corporate setup. It’s just a honest kitchen where we prepare meals for different occasions. Most of our work comes from the local neighborhood and nearby temples. We wake up very early, usually around 4 AM, to get the fires started and the rice going. The kitchen gets really hot during the day. We have some old metal containers we use for transporting the food. Sometimes the delivery van gives us trouble, but we always manage to get the food there. It’s not always easy, especially when there’s a lot of traffic in Konankunte. We don’t do any big advertising. People just know us from the events we’ve done before. We use recipes that have been in the family for a long time. There’s always a bit of flour on the floor and a stack of dishes in the sink. We try to keep things simple and focus on the cooking. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy. We like being part of the local celebrations around here. Every day is a bit different depending on what people want to eat for their special functions. We just keep our heads down and get the cooking done.
