Sree Renuka Enterprises

Sree Renuka Enterprises has been here on Old Madras Road for a bit now. We open up around nine, usually. It gets dusty with all the trucks passing by 663. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there talking. It's mostly regular work. People come in, they ask for what they need, and we try to find it in the back. The shelves are a bit disorganized if I'm being honest. But we know where everything is. My cousin helps out when it gets busy. We’ve seen the flyover come up and change everything around here. It used to be quieter. Now, it's just constant noise. We keep a small radio in the corner. It plays old songs mostly. It’s not a big fancy place, just a shop where we do our business every day. Some days are slow, others we don't have time to eat lunch until four. That's just how it goes in this part of town. We’ve got some regulars who stop by just to say hello and complain about the heat. We don't mind. It's part of being here. The building itself is old, maybe needs a coat of paint, but it holds up. We just keep the floor swept and wait for the next person to walk through the door. Krishnarajpuram is a busy spot, and being right on the main road means we see everything. We’re just local people doing our bit.
